Apple and Cinnamon Cake

Introducing our go-to cake - light and fluffy, simply whip it up in minutes, perfect for a winters afternoon! 


1 cup of Self Raising Flour

1/2 cup of Almond Meal

3/4 cup of Caster Sugar

125g of Butter, softened

2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

1 tablespoon of Cinnamon Powder

2 Eggs

1/2 cup of Milk

1-2 Apples, sliced


1. Preheat oven to 160C 

2. Beat softened butter, sugar and vanilla together until light and creamy (if butter is slightly melted, don’t worry about it)

3. Add eggs and beat through

4.  Stir through self raising flour, almond meal and cinnamon powder

5. Add milk and stir all together, creating a lovely consistency 

6. Grease and line round cake tin and line sliced apple around the bottom of the tin 

6. Pour cake mixture over the top and place in the oven

7. Bake cake for 40-45 mins or until skewer comes clean

8. Dust with icing sugar and cinnamon fresh out of the oven
